Deep circumferential grooves work in unison with the slanted three-dimensional tread blocks to evacuate water. This helps maintain contact with the road, provides increased wet traction, and prevents aquaplaning.

The outer shoulder is made of large reinforced tread blocks, which increase the amount of surface area contacting the road. This assists with dry performance and cornering.
